In Need of Some Miracles

I have this neat little affirmation tool that I keep in my car and use every day.  It sits on my dash board and reflects my chosen affirmation up onto my windshield where I see it all the time.  As a mom of five, I spend a whole lot of time in my car driving people to activities and play dates and, now, real dates.  (Eek!)  I bought this little gadget years ago in the New Vision bookstore, and it can be found at http://www.getitinyoursoul.com/   It's quite useful.  This spring, I had it set to "I am attracting people who support and reflect my highest good."  So it should be no surprise that Kim Lucas, Bead World employee and friend extraordinaire, stepped up to help me fill a full-time staffing gap.  Kim is whip smart, loyal, fun, talented, honest and deliciously hilarious.  With all of the challenges and changes that came our way this spring -- new programs, a huge up swell in class demands, a gigantic customer training program -- Kim has been my backbone and right hand woman for months now.  I most assuredly attracted exactly the person who could most support and reflect my highest good.

I am now required to change my affirmation.  I have changed out the card in my little tool to read, "I am willing to allow the universe to shower me with miracles today."  My beloved Kim is moving away, all the way to Illinois.  Her husband has been offered a wonderful new job, and it's time for her to support and reflect his highest good now.  Kim does so much for me, and for the store and our customers, that I'm feeling like I'll need a few miracles to get through this transition.  But I trust the universe to take care of me, and I know those miracles are forthcoming.  And I'm very aware and thankful that, in this modern age, my good friend will always only be a phone call or a facebook message away.
