It's on the news every moment of the day, in every paper and on every web site: the oil spill. We may never know just how much oil is gushing out of that pipeline into our ocean, polluting the homes of creatures of every shape and size. I, personally, believe that animals are every bit as Divinely created as humans, and it breaks my heart to see this tragedy continue and continue, increasing in scope daily.
Marianne Williamson is leading a "prayer wave" movement, asking each person to pray for one minute at noon, their time. We'll continue until the oil leak is stopped and every bit of oil is cleaned up from the ocean surface, the ocean floor, the beaches, the marshes... We must re-commit to protecting out fragile ecosystem through responsible personal choices, reasonable legislation and necessary scientific development to fix problems immediately when they occur.
