Check Out My Dream Boogie!

One week into my new class with SARK, I’m feeling mighty fine! Dream Boogie with SARK is her first ever teleclass, and I just had to jump on board. I’ll save you the soliloquy about just how much I adore SARK and why her approach is so A-MA-ZING! (See previous posts to hear more about this amazing teacher and heart guide.)

Interestingly, though, the sizzling energy of the group has eclipsed even the great SARK herself! This is one fantastic, excited, juicy tribe of people! Even though we run the spectrum, (different countries, religions, level of education and levels of faith in ourselves) everyone in the group if focused and committed to helping each of us reach our own goals. We may each be listening to our own song, but we’re all boogying our hearts out just the same.

At the beginning of the class, we were asked to choose one specific dream we’d like to focus on nurturing. I have such Creativity-ADD! It was so hard to pick just one dream, because I always want to do everything! I eventually settled down, and chose: I want to build a cohesive platform to unify all of my various pursuits around the idea of “spunky spirituality.”
And when I say all of my pursuits, I mean ALL of them: jewelry, painting, installation art, writing, speaking… I want everything I do to be an outgrowth of my spiritual message: “Go DEEP! You’ll like it in there! The depths are NOT MURKY!”

We talk, and write, a lot in this class. We are unflinchingly honest about our goals and dreams. And something alchemical happens when you speak your dreams aloud. SARK says that dreams love to be named; that they respond once they are claimed. This must certainly be true, as I found myself saying out loud these words without a trace of self-doubt or apology:

“I don’t see myself as a congregational minister. I love Michelle, and I think she’s amazing. I just don’t see that as my path. I see myself more like Marianne Williamson -- writing, speaking, teaching, maybe traveling…”
