Be for something and against nothing. Yes, even in Arizona.

Wouldn't it be wonderful if a group of people somewhere were for something and against nothing?
~ Ernest Holmes

Okay, I'm frustrated with the state of Arizona right now.  Concealed weapons without permits, legalized profiling... I could just scream!  But the principles of Science of Mind tell me that I attract to myself everything on which I place my attention.  Shouting in the streets about how upsetting I find these laws will just attract more things to be upset about.  "Being against" just doesn't work.  So, what's a social activist girl to do?

I'm working on finding things to be FOR!
*I am, personally, FOR federal immigration reform.  I think that the federal government's failure to deal with our border issues has caused this problem, and I think it's their duty to fix it.  So I'm vocalizing my support for federal reform.
*I am also FOR a petition drive to bring this new immigration law up for a vote of the people.  I'm FOR people having the opportunity to voice their opinion via vote on such an important issue.  I'm so very for it that I have emailed Jon Garrido, offering to help in any way I can.  (I'll keep you posted on this!)
* Finally, I'm proud to say I am VERY FOR my daughter, Lauren, and her sticker campaign.  We are making stickers that say "I could be illegal."  She and her friends are passing them out, so that kids can show their support to the immigrant community.  They can't vote, but they CAN make their voices heard.  (Thanks to Randy Zucker for this fabulous idea.  I bet Randy is FOR Lauren's project, too!)

Whatever your viewpoint, here's my take away point.  Be FOR something.  You attract more of whatever you place your attention on, so place your attention carefully on something you want.
